VIOFO HK4 Type-C Hardwire Kit

The VIOFO HK4 Type-C Hardwire Kit is designed to provide a clean, reliable and professional power connection for compatible VIOFO dash cams. It connects directly to your vehicle’s fuse box using constant power, ACC power and ground, allowing the dash cam to operate while driving and automatically switch to parking mode when the vehicle is turned off.

The HK4 is compatible with selected VIOFO Type-C dash cams including the A119 Mini 2, A119M Pro, A229 Plus, A229 Pro and A229 Ultra. It is ideal for drivers who want parking mode support, low-voltage battery protection and a neat hidden installation.

A standard cigarette lighter power cable normally powers the dash cam only while the vehicle is switched on. The HK4 hardwire kit provides a more advanced power solution by connecting the dash cam directly to the vehicle fuse box.

Once installed, compatible VIOFO dash cams can continue monitoring your vehicle after the engine is turned off. Depending on the dash cam model and parking mode settings, this may help record impact events, motion around the vehicle or other parking-related incidents.

The HK4 uses ACC detection to recognise when the vehicle is running or turned off. When the ignition is on, the dash cam records normally. When the vehicle is turned off, the dash cam can automatically enter parking mode.

This makes everyday use easier because you do not need to manually change recording modes every time you park or start the vehicle.

The HK4 includes low-voltage cut-off protection to help protect your vehicle battery. When the vehicle battery voltage drops to the selected threshold, the hardwire kit stops supplying power to the dash cam.

This helps reduce the risk of excessive battery discharge while still allowing your dash cam to provide parking mode coverage when the vehicle is parked.

The VIOFO HK4 offers selectable voltage cut-off options, allowing you to choose a suitable battery protection level for your vehicle. This is especially useful for parking mode operation, where the dash cam may continue monitoring the vehicle for an extended period after the engine is turned off.

Installation note: For vehicles with smaller batteries or vehicles parked for long periods, a higher voltage cut-off setting may be more suitable. If unsure, professional installation is recommended.
