The VIOFO A229 Ultra 3CH is a premium 3-channel dash cam designed to record the road ahead, inside the vehicle and the rear view at the same time. It records in 4K front + 4K rear + 1080P cabin, giving high-detail all-round coverage for rideshare drivers, taxi vehicles, family cars, fleet vehicles and business use.

The A229 Ultra 3CH records three views at once: 4K front, 4K rear and 1080P cabin. This gives wider protection than a standard front-only or front-and-rear dash cam because it also records activity inside the vehicle.

The 4K front camera captures the road ahead in high detail, while the 4K rear camera provides strong rear-facing detail for vehicles and incidents behind you. The 1080P fisheye cabin camera adds interior coverage, making this model especially useful for rideshare, taxi, fleet and commercial vehicles.

The A229 Ultra 3CH uses triple Sony STARVIS 2 image sensor technology across the front, rear and cabin cameras. This helps improve image clarity, dynamic range and low-light recording performance.

The triple STARVIS 2 setup is designed for drivers who want strong video quality from all three channels, not just the front camera.

The cabin camera provides a wide fisheye interior view, helping capture more of the vehicle interior and side-window area. This is ideal for rideshare, taxi and fleet drivers who need interior recording for passenger activity, cabin incidents and driver safety.

The cabin camera is also useful for family vehicles, work vehicles and commercial vehicles where interior monitoring may be required.

HDR is supported across the front, rear and cabin channels. HDR helps balance bright and dark areas in the image, making footage easier to review in difficult lighting such as headlight glare, tunnels, strong sunlight, night driving and mixed interior lighting.

This can help improve number plate visibility, rear traffic clarity and cabin detail when lighting conditions change quickly.

Built-in GPS records route, speed and location data for supported video playback. This can be useful when reviewing footage after an incident or checking trip details through the VIOFO app or compatible playback software.

Built-in dual-band Wi-Fi allows the A229 Ultra 3CH to connect to the VIOFO app for live view, settings adjustment, video preview and file download.

The 5GHz Wi-Fi connection can provide faster video transfer compared with standard 2.4GHz Wi-Fi when used with compatible smartphones.

Voice control allows supported commands such as starting recording, taking photos and turning Wi-Fi on or off without needing to touch the dash cam. Voice notifications also help alert you to recording status, setting changes and memory card issues.

The A229 Ultra 3CH supports parking mode functions including Auto Event Detection, Time-lapse Recording and Low Bitrate Recording.

For parking mode operation, a compatible VIOFO hardwire kit such as the HK4 Type-C Hardwire Kit, or a suitable dash cam battery pack such as the VIOFO BP100, is required and sold separately.

Parking mode note: Parking mode requires continuous power from a compatible hardwire kit or battery pack. Standard cigarette lighter power normally turns off when the vehicle is switched off.

The A229 Ultra 3CH has built-in Bluetooth support and can be paired with the optional VIOFO BTR200 Bluetooth remote. This allows quick video lock and snapshot control while driving.

The VIOFO A229 Ultra 3CH package includes the CPL-200 front filter. The optional CPL-600 rear filter can be purchased separately to help reduce rear camera glare and reflections.

CPL filters help reduce windscreen glare, dashboard reflections and bright sunlight reflections, improving footage clarity in suitable conditions.

Loop recording allows the dash cam to keep recording by overwriting older unlocked files when the memory card becomes full. The built-in G-sensor can detect impacts and help protect important event files from being overwritten.
