The A229 Plus 3CH supports parking mode functions including Auto Event Detection, Time-lapse Recording and Low Bitrate Recording.

For parking mode operation, a compatible VIOFO hardwire kit such as the HK4 Type-C Hardwire Kit, or a suitable dash cam battery pack such as the VIOFO BP100, is required and sold separately.

Parking mode note: Parking mode requires continuous power from a compatible hardwire kit or battery pack. Standard cigarette lighter power normally turns off when the vehicle is switched off.

The A229 Plus 3CH has built-in Bluetooth support and can be paired with the optional VIOFO BTR200 Bluetooth remote. This allows quick video lock and snapshot control while driving.

CPL filters are not included with the VIOFO A229 Plus 3CH package. Optional CPL filters can be purchased separately to help reduce glare and reflections.

The CPL-200 is suitable for the front camera, and the CPL-300 is suitable for the rear camera. CPL filters are recommended for vehicles where dashboard reflections, windscreen glare or rear window reflections are visible in the footage.

Loop recording allows the dash cam to keep recording by overwriting older unlocked files when the memory card becomes full. The built-in G-sensor can detect impacts and help protect important event files from being overwritten.
